Wow, it has been a long time since my last post. Let me tell you that in all fairness to my parents, I have been keeping them  pretty busy, and if I am not in need of something immediately, then my big brother Alex is needing something too. We kinda tag team them, but Mommy says that since my needs are more immediate right now, that sometimes I get to go first with eating and getting my pants changed. Thanks Mommy for that, I really hate wet and messy pants, and when I am hungry, I want to eat NOW!

So in case you haven’t seen me lately, I am no longer a little peanut, Daddy says I am more of a Brazilian nut. At my last Dr. appointment, right before Halloween, I weighed in at 13.1 pounds…and I am now wearing 6 months clothes, having outgrown my 3 month clothes a few weeks ago. Mommy, CC, Shy Shy, and I had a great time shopping at Carter’s last week for new clothes – it was my first girls night out! What fun we had finding pretty things and my favorite are the war fleece things…I love being warm – Daddy says that is kinda the opposite of my brother, and he thinks that I am expensive, since Mommy made him turn up the heat in my bedroom at night so I am warmer!

That is another update, Mommy, reluctantly, moved me into my nice crib. I LOVE my mobile, that plays music, or the heart beat (which kinda reminds me of Daddy’s snoring) and has animals moving around and projected on the canopy – Alex likes it too!

Speaking of Alex, he is a GREAT big brother. He talks to me, and checks in on me when I am sleeping in my crib, and he helps turn on my mobile with the special remote. He helps tells my parents when I need something, in case my cries didn’t get through to them! He likes to know where I am at all times, when we go shopping and we are in the BIG stroller, keeps asking where I am (since I ride in back) to make sure my parents didn’t forget me somewhere (I know Mommy won’t do that, but who knows with Daddy)

Other than growing lots, and lots, and smiling lots and lots, I also laugh now too! I haven’t quite gotten the trick of rolling over, although Alex was trying to teach me how to do that on the floor with Mommy this afternoon. I am VERY good at holding myhead up, when I have tummy time and I even try to move across the room – but I don’t get too far! Ha Ha.

Mommy found out recently, that I really really like violin music – Beethoven, Bach, doesn’t matter much to me – I like the violin…which made Mommy very happy !

Gotta go…want to eat more NOW

P.S. I hope to get pictures updated soon too!

October 15, 2009

So I know it has been a while since my last post, but I have been keeping my parents busy and then there is my big brother who also demands attention…so my website hasn’t been updated as often as it could be. I would just like tot point out that if you notice the age I am now and the number of posts I have verses my brother when he was this age you will see a BIG difference – but that is OK, I know my parents still love me.

So let me see…what is new? Duh…everything! Ha Ha. I have gotten really good at hold my head up, and I am now 11 pounds 6 ounces at my last doctors appointment. I am getting big! Mommy says I shouldn’t grow up too fast…so I will do my best to listen to her…but she keeps feeding me and I keep eating! I have really mastered the eating!

When I was the doctor last week for my 2 month well check, I decided to show off and when I was put on my tummy, I decided to show the doctor that I can army crawl an moved myself on the table…that really freaked them out a bit! I also talked for them and moved my arms and legs lots. They told my Mommy that I acted more like a 4 month old rather than a 2 month old…Mommy got a little sad saying I am growing up too fast.

As for my Mommy, she has gone back to this place called work. I am not a fan of this work place because with Mommy gone, I cannot eat directly from the source…I have to have an artificial medium – a bottle…which I am not such a fan of. I prefer a direct connection for feeding…but I will have to deal I guess.

Daddy is great with me too. He helps me exercise daily. We do leg lifts, and sit ups…I get stronger every time. It is a special Lauren/Daddy activity.

Gotta go eat now…my big brother Alex is as loud as a jet plane (or so my daddy says) and as I am now awake, I am hungry too – so Mommy has to leave now as well.

In case you haven’t seen me in a while, I am getting SOOOOOO BIG – at least that’s what my Mommy says. I have outgrown all my newborn clothes and made my Mommy go shopping for the next size for me. It is more that i am longer now – at my 1 months check up, I was in the 75th precentile for height! How weired is that. My Big Brother Alex is little (for his age but full energy – just hang out at home with him for a few moments and you will see) and my Mommy and Daddy are very tall (well they are to me…but not compared to the rest of the world) However, my Grandpa Bill is HUGE and so is my Uncle Jimmy and my Mommy and Grandma CC say that Mommy’s Grandpa Stan was very tall -so who knows…WNBA here I come (maybe)

Other than growing, I spend my days sleeping – Mommy says I am much better at that during the day than at night time – and eating (but I don’t like my bottles too much – Mommy is much better) and of course filling my diaper

Gotta go eat some more now

So, how do I phrase this, on my last post,I broke my daddy’s computer. While typing away, I had a wee bit of a gas bubble and spit up a bit on his laptop keyboard. Somehow, the keys stopped working and last I heard daddy was yelling (at the computer) and it stopped working all together. Daddy had to take it apart to fix it but all seems to be ok with it now.

Next time I will try not to puke, but it do blame daddy because I am such a cute little one.

Well it has been another long day of moving stuff around. Time for bed, chat later.

It has been a long time since my parents have made a post. We moved so they have been especially busy packing and now unpacking and trying to find all of the stuff the moron (as daddy says) movers packed. I love the new house but it might be too big as Alex runs around yelling looking for his shadow.

Since we are all tired, this about it. Time to nap and wake up soon to eat some more.

Lauren would like to type more, but daddy had to clean the spit-up on the keyboard.

Hello everyone! Just thought I would take a moment and update everyone on what I have  been doing lately. I spend most of my days sleeping – the rest of the time I focus on eating and of course there is the changing of my pants that is a frequent occurrence!

My big brother is a great guy. He doesn’t seem to be the monster that my Daddy told me he was. He can be loud, but whenever I am upset he tells me that it will be ok. He even looks out for me like making sure that Mommy and Daddy don’t forget me. Mommy was putting him  in the car first, and he asked her where I was…(waiting in the house since it was raining at the time).

I also get along with my oldest sibling – Panda Cat. She is very soft and warm. I haven’t seen much of Gizmo Cat, but he seems ok too.

Gotta go get more sleep so I can get bigger (as my big bro says)

So after much complaining, my father has placed my pictures online.  I know my brother can be mean about it, but I understand that my father is a very busy person and it gets hard for him to find time to do things fr us especially when my brother makes him sleep with him at night because he in scared of the dark and McQueen (Lightening)

Oh well, I love daddy and things will get done.

August 9, 2009

After my non-sleeping first night at home, my parents decided to take me out for a short car ride to go to Grandma CC’s house to pick up my Big Brother Alex. I never got out of the car, because on the ride over I decided that I was still hungry and made my Daddy feed me in the car!

We picked up Alex, I feel asleep, and slept in the sunlight for a long time. Mommy said it was 4 hours! She and Daddy want to know where was that last night? How should I know, I am only 5 days old!

After my nap, I was a hungry, hungry, Lauren, so I ate with Mommy (and Big Brother Alex was watching and was very nice to me) and then I slept some more under the special light blanket. Alex was concerned for me and told me that it would be all right and that I would get better under the lights. He seems nice – which worries me a bit, since I have heard some intesreting stories about him when I was listening inside of Mommy’s belly.

Later in the evening, Alex, Mommy, Daddy, and I put a puzzle togeter and Mommy read books to me and Alex – I wonder what Thomas the Train is and who Lighting McQueen is, but my brother seems to know – maybe he will tell me someday.

Off to sleep, eat, and be changed some more

I’m Home

My parents were able to bust me out of the NICU at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee. The nurses were really great to me, but I am tired of not being held whenever I want because I needed to be under all the lights. I am looking forward to meeting this Perfect Princess Panda Cat that I have heard so much about. I have also heard that there is a Gizmo Cat…but that I probably won’t see him much. I guess my Big Brother Alex (aka Little Monster) is spending the night at Grandma CC’s house – so it will just be the five of us tonight!

I was so excited to be home, that I decided I didn’t need to sleep during the night – and neither did my Mommy or Daddy. I did get to meet Gizmo Cat when he decided to cry with me during the nighttime. That was interesting. Somehow I thought that when I left the hospital, that I would also leave the special light blanket there too – not the case. I still have to sleep on it…although I did my best not to!

Well that’s it for me

Slowly Getting Better

So I have good news to share. My bilirubin  levels have gone down (for the first time). I overheard my doctor tell my nurse that the vampires will only get me in the early morning once a day…we had been up to 4 times a day, and I really didn’t care for that too much…nor did my Mommy or Daddy.

In fact, since I am doing so much better, I was moved to a new room. Mommy says that it has a view…but I can’t really tell since I have to wear my special shades under my lights (all four of them).

I am doing much better with my eating – I really like my Mommy’s milk…not so much with the supplement stuff, but I eat it because Daddy (and Mommy) say that the more I eat the better I will get and then I can leave the lights and the hospital and go home and actually meet this “monster” that my parents say live in the house.

I did get held today by lots of people, Mommy and Daddy (of course) but someone named Auntie Shy Shy and Auntie Buki and also Grandma CC – I am sure that my big brother will introduce all of these people to me soon – when I get home.

Gotta go get more sleep under the lights
